A glimpse of the very active night life in the Old Town of Lijiang. This ancient town of cobblestone streets and stone bridges in Yunnan Province is in the southwestern region of China. The area enjoys clean air with year-round Spring-like weather because of its high elevation on the Yunnan Nanzhao plateau. You are listening to street musicians playing by Grass Selling Square which is next to the Dashiqiao Bridge.

The location is also called Da Shi Qiao, or Big Stone Bridge. It is the oldest part of Lijiang, and where invading Mongolian troops once camped. A two-arched bridge was built over 500 years ago during the Ming Dynasty by the Chieftain Mu. The bridge joins the East and West halves of the Old Town of Lijiang above the Middle River.
