We left base camp in the middle of the night, to climb to the summit of Stok Kangri mountain (6140m) in the Indian Himalaya. After several hours of hard work in the freezing night, we reached the summit just after sunrise. Our efforts were rewarded with fine weather and great views.

Stok Kangri is located in Ladakh, a predominantly Buddhist area. Prayer flags (with texts) are posted on the summit. Their message is spread to the rest of the world, by the mountain wind.
