The Unité d'habitation (Cité Radieuse) by Le Corbusier was built in the years 1947-52. Le Corbusier's aim was to create a family-friendly environment for many people with all kinds of facilities. A gymnasium and a paddling pool for children on the roof are two of these integrated services. The roof terrace with its sculptural ventilation stacks is a good place to enjoy the panoramic view of Marseilles and to relax. You may even use it as a jogging path.
