Part of a personal project on the East Sussex Bonfire Societies. The whole project will be exhibited at various locations around East Sussex in the weeks leading up to the 5th of November, 2009. Mock clergy harangue the crowd and in return are pelted with fireworks, the burning crosses commemorate the Protestant martyrs burnt at the stake during the Marian repression of the 1550's
