I had wanted to submit a panorama of New Year in Castelsardo, which is brilliant and a real "Sardinian" celebration, unfortunately I just could not get the shot to work.

However I like this pano not for its' (doubtful) quality but it highlights the things that make this my favourite Sardinian town: understated history with stunning coastline views. Less touristy and smaller than nearby Alghero, Castelsardo deserves to be better known outside Sardinia and is certainly a cheaper place to stay than the Costa Smeralda! .
