Near-Infrared panoramas are quite rare because so few (if any) modern digital cameras can produce images in near-infrared without modifications to remove the built-in "hot mirror" filter on their CCDs (which blocks much of the infrared). The Panoscan has no such built-in filter on the CCD element, thus I was able to produce this great summertime near-infrared view of Seattle across Lake Union from Gas Works Park through a Tiffen #87 filter. One of my favorites from my shooting in 2007 :)
