Sailing Lake Champlain with the crew on the schooner Lois McClure, a full-scale replica of an 1862-class sailing canal boat designed to carry cargo to and thru the existing canal system. In 1862, the canals allowed for a boat design roughly 88 feet in length and 14 feet in beam. This new vessel was called the 1862-class. Construction of Lois McClure began in 2002, with the Launch and Inaugural Tour in 2004.
