This is a strange place as it is usually free of any human sign. The track that can be seen is temporary, only to give access to a harnessing which need fixing. While driving, I was thinking to the first explorator who discovered this place. In fact, it was probably a fugitive slave in the early XVIII' century, walking in the flood, looking for fish.
The cliff is made of basalt columns dated between -430.000 and -2.100.000 years, coming from the oldest volcano of the island, the Piton des Neiges.
I decided to make an image out of present. It might not be the best panorama of the year but the last one. I had a lot of fun making it.
