People in Germany are known to be football/soccer enthusiasts. Well, not me. I have never been a sports fan at all and so it was with mixed feelings I expected the soccer world cup games 2006 come to Germany. Certainly, it was impossible not to get a bit involved when you live in Berlin, where the alley from the Brandenburger Tor up to the "Victory Column" had been changed into one big public viewing area. So, some day I tried it on my own and... this damn virus of the games got me! This panorama is from the second game which I followed up. It may not be my best panorama in 2006. But when I look at the emotions in this panorama, it is the strongest photograph which I have ever taken. All images from this public viewing area were done handheld since it was not allowed to take a tripod/monopod there.
