Welcome to America's Breadbasket; the land of Red Durum wheat.

I took this panorama of my Grandparents Farmstead in North Dakota right after the fall harvest was completed. The buildings are just about ready to fall apart as they have been unoccupied for 20 years and the cold and windy North Dakota Winters have really taken their toll on them (not to mention the vandals).

I hadn't been there in many years and I am glad I finally made the trip. I spent many summers and almost every holiday there as a kid so it was a bit of a walk down memory lane.

I positioned myself on a small hill overlooking the farmstead where various farm implements have been abandoned over the years. This vantage point also has a nice view of the surrounding harvested fields and nearby lakes.

Enjoy!
