My Winter Solstice Panorama shows my personal Sanctuary. The basement of my home was only concrete walls and floor with dark wood beams overhead when my wife and I began work to make it a useful, livable space. We planned and completed almost all the work ourselves. Because of this we were able to create a room where we are warm and comfortable while we enjoy games with our grandchildren or listen to music or watch television or pursue a hobby project. We installed a refrigerator, sink and microwave oven and have a bath room with shower connected. We are able to spend all day here. It took much work and time but was worth it. Now we have a place that is beautiful and secluded, summer or winter. This place is my Sanctuary.
