Since three generations, the Despierris family has been smiths in Baziege, a little country town of the Lauragais region. Jean and Pierre Despierris are still forging in their workshop near the center of the village. They used to store discarded agricultural hardware in a place where one could find second-hand parts to repair ploughs and other equipment. The Despierris brothers are now both well in their eighties and the storage field has become a sanctuary as almost no one has entered the place to get spare parts for the last 40 years now... The sign that symbolically forbid to enter the open field shows it all in a few rusted words. For those who can read French, please go to an extensive report on the Despierris' historical fate titled: Les Despierris, forgerons de pere en fils . EN FRANCAIS: Le cimetière des vielles charrues
