A huge research institution such as the University of California can be a stressful environment for students. In 1928 Mrs. May Treat Morrison made a donation to the university to build a library specifically as a sanctuary for students wishing to escape the pressures of the academic program.

The Morrison Library, actually a room within the main library complex, has a collection of fiction, travel guides, and recorded music. Textbooks and studying are prohibited. It is comfortably furnished and always quiet, with the genteel air of gentleman's club. It has been a favored retreat of Berkeley students for three-quarters of a century.

Olympus E-1 with 14-28mm lens at 14mm (equiv to 28mm), on a Kaidan QuickPan III with spherical adapter. One level tier of 14 images, tiers up and down at 45 degrees of 7 images each, zenith and nadir. RealViz Stitcher 4.0 on a Mac G5.
