A cold front came through just a few hours before the solstice, so I had a rather cold time (15 degrees Fahrenheit or so) with my brother helping hold the tripod against the wind. This was taken in Henry Huneke park just a few moments after the solstice. The bright area is the veterans memorial, which is lit brightly at night. The point lights on the opposite side of the lake are from shops on 82nd street. If you look closely, you can see some geese too.
