This welded steel structure is located on an outcrop of the Canadian Shield on the grounds of the the Earl of March Secondary School in Kanata, a suburb of Ottawa. The photos were taken at 1:08 PM ET exactly 12 hours after the Solstice in eastern North America. There was about 20 inches of snow (50 cm) on the ground and the temperature was around 30ºF (-1ºC)
