The seagulls here come from remote Siberian to live through the winter in Kunming starting from 1985, 22 years ago. According to the preliminary statistics in 2007, there are about 31,000 seagulls flying to Kunming. It is said that the longest life span of seagull is 50 years old. Then the volitant seagulls over the heads of younglings may have witnessed their years and growth through those 22 years.
