Larchmont Blvd also known as Larchmont Village in Los Angeles, the boulevard is well known for its selection of great restaurants and each day draws a large crowd making parking almost impossible. However it is not known for Christmas shopping, and by 10pm on the evening of Dec 21th 2007 the street is almost empty as the stores are closing down, parking was easy.
While I was not part of the original wrinkle shoot, I was already photographing panoramas professionally back then, only 10 years ago, digital cameras were exotic animals with poor performance, one early camera the Fujix Nikon camera shot 1280x960 and cost well north of $ 10.000. This year I shot with the new Olympus E3 set to auto-graduation which expanded the dynamic range and this panorama is shot without the normal bracketing of the exposures. Panoramas, cameras, and technology in general have truly taken major steps in the last 10 years. Im looking forward to the next wrinkle celebration.
